How To Handle An Excuse?

We’ve all used excuses every now and then in our lives. I can’t work out because:

  1. “I don’t know how to do that.”
  2. “I’ll start tomorrow, next week, next month, next year.”
  3.  “I’m too busy”.
  4. “It’s too hard”
  5.  Etc.

Anu ba ang tunay na kahulugan ng EXCUSE?  Ito ay isang invented na reason or simply negating responsibility. If you want change, you’ve got to stop making excuses. You’ve got to buck up and take full responsibility for your life. Excuse are in essence a means of placing blame of an internal problem on an external condition. When time comes and get rough at gagawa ka ng excuses tanungin mo sarili mo  Am I trying to find a way in or Am I trying to find a way out?

Different Excuses

Maraming rason bakit ang isang tao ay may excuse, nagagawa natin ang mga excuse na yan dahil meron tayong:

1.  Fear of failure

2. Fear of embarassment

3. Fear of success

4. Fear of change

5. Fear of uncertainty

6. Fear of responsibility

7. Fear of making mistakes

Paano natin ma eliminate ang mga excuses na yan? Para ma eliminate natin yung mga excuses na yan we must first look at eliminating all traces of fear, para ma overcome natin to kailangan nating e admit sa sarili at itanong ang mga sumusunod:

  1. What excuses do I tend to make?
  2. What am I settling for?
  3.  Why am I making these excuses?

Tapos ilista mo ang mga consequences that each of these excuse has on your life and circumstances by asking these:

  1. How do these excuses prevent me from moving forward?
  2. How do they cripple my ability to get what I want?

Bigyan mo ng attention kasi ito ay magtuturo sayo about yourself than you ever thought was possible. Hindi lang makakatulong ito sa pag identify sa iyong kahinaan but also makatulong din ito sa pag identify the areas of your life that you should be giving more attention. Essentially, then, the best type of excuse is one that doesn’t keep you from giving up on your goals, allows you to engage in a protective amount of self-deception, and doesn’t bring about negative consequences either in your personal relationships or your ability to meet goals in the future. Remember “We can only succeed when we stop telling ourselves why we can’t, and start living a life that shows we can.
